Fenced Hunts Packages:
In
the 1990's, when there were more bucks & bulls than needed
on the Collora Cervidae farm, Sam simply called the local
vet to examine and verify his animal was healthy then took
him to the sale barn in Missouri. Those days are gone. (Why?
Research Centers and Zoos contaminated privately owned cervid
farms with CWD ridden animals. Michigan had TB and now free
trade agreements with Mexico have allowed TB ridden animals
into Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. We spend
thousands of dollars to make sure we are TB and CWD free,
however, the future of interstate animal movement is unknown.)
While
we love being deer farmers and enjoy watching antler growth
yearly, it is imperative as farmers to have financial return
on animals. With there being little market in Iowa, the Colloras
decided to high fence part of their farm to allow harvest
of their own "market ready" animals.
If
you are tired of being "skunked" on your fair chase
hunts, then we invite you to take a look at this limited number
of animals we have to offer. Mountain, the elk that gored
Sam in Sept. 2005, was sold and harvested shortly after. A
local taxidermist did the beautiful elk mount for $570.00
and was done by July, 2006. Locker facilities are available
to process the meat and ship it to you.
